What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. We also use browser local storage and session storage for the same purposes. They keep you signed in, remember your language, currency and recent search, and keep the site secure. This policy lists everything we store and why.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

Required for the website to function and cannot be disabled: Supabase authentication session (sb-*-auth-token, kept while you stay signed in), language preference (user_locale, 1 year), language-source flag (user_locale_src, 1 year), currency preference (user_currency, 1 year), country detection (user_country, 1 year), install-banner dismissal (geo_banner_dismissed, 1 year), and your cookie choice (cookie_consent, 1 year). Deleting these signs you out and resets your preferences.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LCM2PSJPYW) with Google Consent Mode v2 to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. Analytics storage is denied by default and is only used if you grant consent. With consent, GA4 may set the _ga and _ga_LCM2PSJPYW cookies for up to 2 years. We do not use analytics to identify you or for advertising.

Functional & Convenience Storage

Optional conveniences stored only in your own browser (never sent to our servers except when needed for a feature): theme choice (lmcar-theme), your last vehicle search (lmcar_last_search), saved wishlist cars (lmcar_wishlist_v1) and recently viewed cars (lmcar_recently_viewed_v1), and a per-session flag for the install prompt (lmcar_pwa_auto_dismissed, cleared when you close the tab). Clearing site data simply resets these conveniences.

Marketing Cookies

We do not run our own retargeting campaigns or sell data. On blog pages, Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-3292495368898394) may load with Consent Mode v2; ad storage and personalisation are denied by default and only enabled if you consent, in which case Google may use advertising cookies (such as __gads, __gpi and IDE) for up to 13 months to measure and personalise ads. Booking pages do not load advertising.

Managing Cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and disable bookings management; blocking all site data resets language, currency and theme to defaults. On blog pages, use the consent banner to accept or reject analytics and advertising storage; you can change your choice by clearing the cookie_consent cookie and reloading. Session flags cannot be managed separately because they disappear automatically when you close the tab.

Third-Party Cookies

Embedded Google Maps on our contact and homepage sections may set Google cookies (such as NID for preferences and security) governed by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Sign-in with Google is handled by Google and our authentication provider Supabase under their own policies. Google Analytics 4 and, on blog pages only, Google AdSense are loaded with Consent Mode v2; analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you consent. We load no other third-party advertising.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our storage practices change. Material changes will be published on this page with a revised date above.
